Join us for this non-partisan, open to all, nuts-and-bolts campaign training!
If you are a member of WeSERV interested in how campaigns are really run, thinking of running for office, a campaign manager or just curious – then register to attend WeSERV Candidate Training.All candidates running for office in 2020 are welcome to register and attend as are campaign volunteers and those thinking of running.
Professional campaign strategists will lead you through the nuts and bolts of setting up, running and budgeting for a successful campaign. Learn from the experts!
We will also practice speech writing and speech making, so you can convey your message effectively. Craft your message to individual voters, small groups and large groups.

- Assess yourself – Do you have the basic traits necessary to run for office?
- Can you tell someone why you are running in 30 seconds? Leave with tools to craft your message
- Discover your research needs based on your target audience and budget
- Plan the most effective fundraising method for your campaign
- Determine the best methods to contact your constituents based on voter demographics and budget
- Analyze electronic campaign options and determine which is most effective for you
- Create your Get Out the Vote plan
- Become familiar with State and Federal Campaign rules and resources
- Clean Elections Rules
